The Impact of SPARK Kindness:

  • 200+ free programs and workshops hosted since 2010
  • 100+ community partners from Natick, MetroWest and beyond
  • 10,000+ people welcomed to programs
  • 90% feel that SPARK Kindness "fills a need in Natick and surrounding communities like no other organization.”
  • Countless acts of kindness and understanding, caring conversations, and fresh empathy

“The work of SPARK Kindness is impressive, with a myriad of programs and events that truly assist families and communities to grow and thrive. The way they approach this work is also significant, as it embodies true concepts of partnership, equity and a willingness to test new ways of operating. These attributes fit squarely with the foundation’s goal of helping MetroWest residents live and thrive in resilient, healthy and equitable communities.”

— Martin Cohen, Former President/CEO, MetroWest Health Foundation

When people and organizations work together, they can create positive support for families. For example, in Natick, the community networking of SPARK Kindness has resulted in the following:

  • “Resilient Community” Speaker Series with programs on issues that families are concerned about, like internet safety, friendships, stress/mental health, bullying prevention, and more.
  • Monthly Free Facilitated Resilient Parent Resource Group provides support for parents as they try to foster resilience in their children.
  • Natick/MetroWest Anti-Bullying Coalition & Natick is United in 2011, SPARK formed the Natick/MetroWest Anti-Bullying Coalition, a group of 60+ organizations that address bullying on a community wide scale. In November of 2016, SPARK led the formation of Natick is United, which was a unified affirmation to “stand together and stand up” to acts of discrimination and hate in the Natick community. In August of 2023, SPARK reconvened the Metro West Anti-Bullying Coalition to address Identity Based Bullying.
